Basic information to plan your visit on Lake Como

What's the closet airport?

The most conveninet airport is Milan Malpensa MXP from which you can get a train to Milan or Como. From Milan Linate LIN and Bergamo Orio al Serio BGY you must rent a car or have a driver. Consider approximately 1,5 hour for trasnfers with average traffic.

How do I get to to Filario from the airports?

We reccomend arranging a private transfer. Public trasnportation requires several changes and can be very lenghty.

How do I get to Filario from Como?

You can catch bus C30 which stops right by the hotel.

Do not take ferries if you travel with luggage as you have to take a staircase.

By car it takes about 30 minutes.

Do I need to book trasnfers in advance?

Yes. The availability of drivers is limited in the high season. Please arrange airport transfers at least 1 day in advance. The cost depends on the number of travellers.

Is there a shuttle offered by the hotel to the ferry and nearby restaurants?

We do not have a shuttle service. We can, according, to availability, drop off (no pick-ups) within the town of Lezzeno.

How do I move around Lake Como?

With a little bit a planning you can easily move round by ferry (always recommended) and by bus. Stops are comveniently located within walking distance.

It is recommended to request car transfers and taxi-boat bookings in advance.

Is it best to rent a car?

Having a car can give more flexibility especially in the evening and night hours when public transportation is only partially (or not at all) available. NOTE that Lake Como roads are narrow: we suggest smaller vehicles.

Is there a car parking on property?

Yes, at Filario parkings are available at 15 € per night.

Is there a charging station for electric cars?

Yes, we offer 1 Tesla charger and 1 multibrand charger. Max power 22kw. Chargers are available for free for Filario’s guests.

Is there free wi-fi?

Yes. Wifi is available for free at Filario.

How far the residences from the Hotel?

The residences are in 3 buildings within the hotel grounds. The residences are just across the pool and are connected to the hotel building via the garden and the beach. For guests with impaired mobility who cannot walk stairs the hotel can arrange for pickups between the apartment and the hotel.

Restaurants opening hours?

Restaurants and bar are open between 7:30 AM and 23:00 PM depending on the season. Please check with us.

Is there a dress code at the restaurant?

The dresscode on property is smart casual. The atmsosphere at Ristorante Filo is more elegant.

Is the pool always open?

No, the pool is open between 9:00 am and 8:00 pm.

Is the beach private?

The beach is only open to hotel guests and residents.

Can I swim in the lake?

Yes, Filario is one of few properties with a beach on Lake Como.

Can you arrange car rentals?

No. Please rent directly in Como or Milan. There is only one car rental in Bellagio but availability is limited.

When can I check-in?

Guaranteed by 4:00 pm. Please ask for exceptions.

When is check-out?

Must happen by 3:00 pm. Please ask for exceptions.

Is the breakfast included?

Please check on your booking.

Does the rate include the taxes?

The rate includes VAT. Local city taxes are not included (2,00 € per person per night).

What is the cancellation policy?

There are flexible rates which can be cancelled free of charge according to the time of cancellation and advance rates which do not allow changes or cancellations. Please refer to the conditions of the booking you made.

Do children need to have identification documents?

All guests must be registered with a valid identification document according to Italian Laws.

Are extra guests allowed?

Extra guests may or may not be allowed depending on the unit booked.

All guests must register at check-in. Extra guests are subject to extra fees.

What is the PET policy? Dogs allowed?

PETS are not allowed in the hotel rooms, they are allowed in the residences. In public areas rules must be complied with. Dogs are not alloewd in the pool area.

Is there a valet service for the car parking?

We do offer a private garage parking, but no valet service is available. Guests shall park on their own.

Is the pool heated?

Yes the pool is heated; however the tempetrature depends significantly on the weather in april and october.

Is the hotel wheelchair accessible?

All hotel rooms are accessible; but only 1 deluxe room features a fully wheelchair-equipped bathroom. The restaurant is accessible as well, while there are stairs leading to the pool. Please inquire about the residences.
